This study, sponsored by National Cancer Institute of Canada Clinical Trials Group and conducted by the University of Wisconsin Center for Women’s Health Research, is recruiting women to participate in a medication research study.  The study consists of 7 visits over 5 years.  There is a 50% chance of receiving either a placebo or research study medication.

You may be eligible if you are 35 years of age or older and are postmenopausal.  You must be at increased risk of developing breast cancer.  Some of the factors that could increase your risk are:  age 60 or older, family history of breast cancer, previous breast biopsies, age at first menstrual period, age at time of first child’s birth.

To find out if you are eligible or if you would like more information about the study, please call Diane DeMonaco Dowd, at (608) 287-2863 or 1-800-755-5667, or go to the study website at www.excelstudy.com.
